Call to Action
With 2 weeks left in the 2008 NCAA Men’s Basketball season, the Bears are again headed for another “lost” season. How many more lost seasons must Bear fans endure? The problem is not with the players, but with coach Ben Braun. The time is now to force the administration to bring in new ideas and a new face to coach the men’s basketball team.
Start the pressure today by doing the following:

Now is the time, Braun must go and the mediocrity must end!
Original Statement
Fellow University of California basketball fans, the time has come for the administration — specifically Chancellor Robert J. Birgeneau and Athletic Director Sandy Barbour — to hear the roar of our discontent. The time has come for the men’s basketball program to align with other UC Berkeley sports programs, reach for the upper echelon of the conference and not remain stuck in the mediocrity that Braun has brought to Berkeley. It is time to find a leader and a new face for the men’s basketball team — one which will play the best teams in the nation; which will challenge for the Pac-10 title every year and be in the NCAA tournament every year; and not settle for mediocrity.
Pledge with me. Be part of the ouster of Ben Braun and usher in a new era for Cal Basketball.
